I want to help you to get the most out of my website. In the past months I studied other similar websites, including the Wikipedia. I've realized it is impossible to maintain an page listing all pages, as it becomes quickly too big. And unusable. For this reason, all articles belonging to the encyclopedia are now inside the "articles" directory; the most new entries are featured on the home page. The most useful feature is the search on top: it allows you to search for anything, any page, article of the whole web site. The search can find within seconds what you want.
Talking about the look, you have a choice of two versions: the default one with graphics, and a second one, more contrasted, with bigger text size, is good for the visually impaired.
Clicking on any of the lists on the left takes you to that section's homepage. Some sections are then split into sub-sections, such as DVDs or Books with review listings. Scroll down and you'll find links to my friends' websites.
The glossary has required extra navigation links that I've placed on the right column (the A, B, C, D links), right after the invitation e-mail link. This makes browsing and jumping among pages quick. Other pages don't have these alphabetic links.
Each page also contains, on the right column, invitations to discuss the article in the forums and one more to send the link to a friend (by e-mail). Furthermore, you'll find our RSS feed plus the images related to the page you're browsing. For example, if you're on a DVD review page, you'll find its cover.
The chat page has been designed to let you concentrate on chatting, leaving out the usual interface and links. No registration is required. A link to the home page is present to bring you back to the usual site. Remember you need the SUN Java.
On the bottom, the four badges indicate this site is built with standards compliant xhtml, css, rss and, for the first time, with a minimal accessibility. Please follow the "Accessibility" link on top to find out more. By doing so, I want to guarantee the most similar experience across most browsers, including Safari, Firefox, Internet Explorer and Opera (note: IE6 does not support "min-height"). Even if your browser doesn't support css, the page keeps a structure.
Last but not least, this website has no pop up, pop unders nor trojans.
