UFO&PSI Glossary: R
Glossary comes from latin "glossarium, glossa" (foreign word), and is in fact a list of often difficult-to-understand words followed by their definitions. An encyclopedia of any kind cannot be considered complete without providing a comprehensive glossary.

Radar: RAdio Detection And Ranging. A primary radar can track any moving objects thanks to the reflection of radar waves onto the object; a secondary radar that can only track those objects equipped with a transponder. Every radar information is not a priori purely genuine, as wrong echos and temperature reversals can sometimes trick the personnel. Of course, the experts know quite well radars and are not trickked so easily.
Regressive hypnosis: hypnothical technique often used to rebuild the lost memories of abductees.
Roswell: town of New Mexico (USA), hosting an aeronautical base. In its neighbourhoods, the first UFO-crash happened in 1947. Initially shelved after the official denials of military personnel involved followed by some admissions about a crashed flying saucer), the case is being demonstrating itself more and more genuine.
R.P.V.: Remotely Piloted Vehicles. Referred to often miniaturized engines used as spies for aerial detection of the biggest political powers, different from common UFOs.
R.V.: Radar Visual, yet one more Hynek classification section. Sightings confirmed both by human witnesses and by radars at the same time. Blue Book contains 29 of such cases.
