UFO&PSI glossary: L
Glossary comes from latin "glossarium, glossa" (foreign word), and is in fact a list of often difficult-to-understand words followed by their definitions. An encyclopedia of any kind cannot be considered complete without providing a comprehensive glossary.

L.T. P.: Lunar Transient Phenomena, observed on the lunar surface, are short lived phenomenon such as red glows, flashes, obscuration, and abnormal albedo and shadow effects.
L.A.S.E.R.: Light Amplification by Stimulated Emission of Radiation. Following the spectroscopy and microwaves researches between the 1940s and 1950s, Arthur L. Schawlow and Charles H. Townes publish an article in 1958 about the Laser.
Lazar, Bob: alleged physicist claiming to have worked inside the S-4 facility, at Area 51, on reverse engineering a flying saucer.
LDNL: "Lumières Dans La Nuit", the best French UFO magazine.
Lock (Lock on): when an object is targeted by missiles, the radar locks on this object.
