UFO&PSI Glossary: G

Glossary comes from latin "glossarium, glossa" (foreign word), and is in fact a list of often difficult-to-understand words followed by their definitions. An encyclopedia of any kind cannot be considered complete without providing a comprehensive glossary.

GEPAN: Groupement d'Etude des Phénomènes Aerospatiaux Non-identifiés.

Ghost Rockets: from May 1946 a flap over Scandinavia extends to Europe until reaching the interests of the American Intelligence. Cigar-shaped, with orange flames coming out from the back. Scandinavia receives 600 reports: most take place at night and the objects appear on radars. It seems a few landed and explosed. Some link ghost rockets to foo fighters.

GMT: Greewich Mean Time.

Grey (Gray): the most popular alien described in close encounters and abductions reports. Grey are the star of the pessimistic views of John Lear: evil, big pear-shaped head, big black insect eyes, tiny mouth, they aimed at the extermination of the human race, so to take over the planet. UFO folklore says they have reduced sexual and digestive apparatus, reproducing themselves through cloning.
