UFO&PSI Glossary: F
Glossary comes from latin "glossarium, glossa" (foreign word), and is in fact a list of often difficult-to-understand words followed by their definitions. An encyclopedia of any kind cannot be considered complete without providing a comprehensive glossary.

Flap: a period of time while more and more UFO sightings create a state of apprehension among people.
Flying humanoids: humanoid-like entities, probably artificials, with the ability to fly, working as explorers but different to RPV.
Flying saucers: word to indicate UFOs in the '50s and '60s.
FOIA: Freedom for Information Act, USA law wanted by Gerald Ford in 1974 and activated in 1976. Researchers can ask for the declassification of documents, and the authority is obliged to motivate the eventual refusal face to a federal judge. It has to be noted most UFO files have a high degree of classification, with the result of a refusal or a very strong censorship on these same files. Also, the NSA is immune to the FOIA. Great Britain has its FOIA in 2000, while France approves one in 1978.
Foo-Fighters: in slang, (from French "feu", fire) it indicates unknown, luminous, flying bodies noted by Allies, German and Japanese pilots from 1942. Both American and British pilots have witnessed foo-fighters. They were considered as a German psychological weapon, but the Germans knew the same phenomenon as "kraut-bolids".
FSR: Flying Saucer Review, one of the best UFO review in the world.
FUFOR: Fund for UFO Research, the American scientific fund for UFO researches.
