UFO&PSI Glossary: B

Glossary comes from latin "glossarium, glossa" (foreign word), and is in fact a list of often difficult-to-understand words followed by their definitions. An encyclopedia of any kind cannot be considered complete without providing a comprehensive glossary.

BEM: Bug-Eyed Monsters. Ray Palmer filled the Amazing Stories magazine, bought by Ziff-Davis Publishing Company in 1938, with non fiction stories, semi-science and parascience, along with such short stories about BEM, who ruled the world from their coves.

Black-out: sometimes caused by UFOs flying low in the air thanks to electromagnetic interferences.

BUFORA: British UFO Research Association, main English study centre.

B.V.M.: Blessed Virgin Mary, referred to Virgin apparitions as animated entities, like a CE3.
