Movies: Jeeg Contro I Mostri Di Roccia
The following is a movie I've watched and reviewed. Contrary to popular belief, I'm not selling DVDs. This is not a list of movies that tell you "the truth about UFOs". Simply said, I like movies. Each review is as simple and non technical as possible.

Description: After the successful DVDs of Goldrake, here comes one other myth for Italian generations, born in the 1970s: Jeeg Robot! Doctor Shiba is the only scientist who has understood the ancient, evil empire of Queen Himika is about to return. From an underground cave, Himika and her generals come back to life with the aim of dominating Earth. To achieve the evil plan, they have to retrieve the bronze bell, the one magic item able to give Himika absolute power. In fact, Doctor Shiba has hidden the bronze bell... inside is son's chest! Implanted with this, Hiroshi has become stronger and invincible. Thing is, Hiroshi dislikes his father.
During Himika's first attempt to find where the bronze bell is, Doctor Shiba falls into a ravine and is thought to be dead. The beautiful Miwa, his assistant, can rescue him just in time but he'll have to remain into a special computer chamber to survive. This episode convinces Hiroshi to fight for his father. Doctor Shiba has built a pair of gloves that activate the bronze bell's powers, and a transmitter pendant (the face of Jeeg). This way, Hiroshi can transform into a demon and then into Jeeg's head, the iron magnetic robot. From the Big Shooter, Miwa can launch the remaining components (arms, punches, legs, etc.), forming the powerful Jeeg Robot...
This is the only movie ever realized from cut and paste of the episodes. One thing to notice is that Doctor Shiba dies definetly: what we see in the chamber is a computer containing his memory, and not the scientist himself. In Jeeg, it is evident the influence of Japanese traditions and UFOs on Go Nagai. Himika's ship is a big UFO that looks like, in part, the one photographed over Gulf Breeze. The Japanese touch is given through the dragons heads. Once again, Jeeg doesn't look like a plain robot, owning the features of a football player.
Image quality is good, while the menu is cool and the extras well done: the theme singer and dubbers talk bout their involvement in Jeeg.
