Books: need to know

The following is a book I've read and reviewed. Contrary to popular belief, I'm not selling books. Knowing four languages, I have access to quite a large amount of books that have never been translated in English, which is the strong point of this list: to give a broader look to what's published.

Description: UFOs remain essentially a military and intelligence problem - and one demanding unprecedented security and deception, with access to information on a strictly "need to know" basis. As early as 1960 former CIA director Admiral Hillenkoetter confirmed that:

"Behind the scenes, high-ranking air force officers are soberly concerned about the UFOs. But through official secrecy and ridicule, many citizens are led to believe the unknown flying objects are nonsense."

The same could be said today.

Based on many years of good research by Good, Need To Know is structured in three parts (four if we count the introduction). The book is in fact well documented and well written as well. Each chaper deals with a slice of UFO history: 1930-49, 1950-59, 1960-2006. It is full of revelations. Ghost rockets, sightings reported by pilots, Roswell, Majestic-12, and what is known as "cover up" are just a few topics covered by this 450 pages long book. The book hosts new informations, concentrating on UFO sightings from pilots and military personnel, and features the testimony of people with backgrounds in government, military, intelligence and law enforcement. Good, a non Italian author, even mentions the Fascist files, quoting Pinotti and Lissoni. All this in a professional way. Overall, Need To Know has a contemporary feeling.

At the end of each chapter, the author lists all of his sources and even some documents.

Sporting an excellent front cover design, Need To Know remains an essential reading.
