Cases of individuals taken inside a spacecraft (a UFO) for medical examinations, tests and other traumatic experiences. A whole bibliography has been written by pro-extraterrestrial hypothesais researchers like Hopkins, Jacobs, Mack, Turner. Skeptics point out the symptoms are nothing but of psychological origins. The phenomenon is complex and not always related to UFO activity. |

Magnetohydrodynamics, experimental branch of physics founded by the work of Michael Faraday. MHD studies the dynamics of electrically conducting fluids. Examples of such fluids include plasmas, liquid metals, and salt water. The idea of MHD is that magnetic fields can induce currents in a moving conductive fluid, which create forces on the fluid, and also change the magnetic field itself. 1968 saw the first application to UFOs thanks to Ph.D. Stanton Friedman, while in 1973 Prof. Auguste Meessen reports on previous works; finally in 1974 comes Jean-Pierre Petit with his advancements. While these researchers believe a MHD propulasion is possible, there are certain problems that prevent us from building a MHD-based spacecraft. |

A complex, obscure case involving photographs and a vast literature. Everything begins on January 14, 1966 when Fernando Sesma receives the first phone call from the Ummo people, extraterrestrials whose home planet were 15 light years from Earth. During the following years, hundreds of pages are sent from "los Ummitas" (and using nicknames as ISEI 456, DEI 98) by mail to researchers. It is thought the Ummo case is a complex hoax. |
